Marking: Each correct answer gets 1 mark. There is no negative marking.

  • All questions are multiple choice. Each has four options and one correct answer.
  • The paper comes in Bengali and English. The two language parts are in their own languages.
  • You choose Language I based on the medium of instruction of the school: Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Oriya or Telugu. Language II is English for everyone.
  • Questions follow the official syllabus. They can be as hard as secondary-level content.
  • Child Development questions focus on children aged 6 to 11 years.
  • In TET-2023 the exam ran from 12 noon to 2:30 pm. Candidates had to report at least 2 hours early, with the admit card.
