RRB NTPC 2025 Eligibility: Age Limit & Qualification

Age limit
Age is counted as on 1 January 2026. Graduate posts (CEN 06/2025): 18 to 33 years - UR/EWS candidates must be born between 2 January 1993 and 1 January 2008 (OBC-NCL from 2 January 1990, SC/ST from 2 January 1988). Undergraduate posts (CEN 07/2025): 18 to 30 years - UR/EWS candidates must be born between 2 January 1996 and 1 January 2008 (OBC-NCL from 2 January 1993, SC/ST from 2 January 1991). Your date of birth must match your Class 10 certificate.

| Undergraduate (CEN 07/2025): Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist | Class 12 (10+2) pass or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks (same exemptions as above), plus typing skill in English or Hindi on a computer. |
Nationality & other conditions
- You must be a citizen of India, a citizen of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 to settle here, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from certain listed countries (such as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam) to settle in India. Everyone except Indian citizens needs a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India, to be shown at document verification.
- You must already hold the required qualification by the revised closing date: 27 November 2025 (Graduate) or 4 December 2025 (Undergraduate). Candidates waiting for final results cannot apply.
- Medical standard by post: A-2 for Station Master, Goods Train Manager and Traffic Assistant; A-3 for Trains Clerk; B-2 for Chief Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk; C-2 for all typist/clerk posts. Candidates who had LASIK or similar eye surgery cannot take A-2 or A-3 posts.
- You can apply to only one RRB. More than one application (to the same or different RRBs) leads to rejection of all of them and a ban from future RRB/RRC exams.
- Application fee: Rs 500 for most candidates (Rs 400 refunded, minus bank charges, if you appear in CBT-1). Rs 250 for SC, ST, ex-servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minority and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates (fully refunded, minus bank charges, if you appear in CBT-1).
- Candidates already working in a Central/State Government office or PSU must show a No Objection Certificate from their employer at document verification.
- Aadhaar-based biometric check is done at the exam centre; bring your original Aadhaar card.
