Cut-off: 93.4123549 percentile
Cut-offs change every year with difficulty and vacancies — treat last year's as a guide, not a promise. This is the lowest NTA percentile in each category that made a candidate eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2026. It is not an admission cut-off for NITs or IIITs. Source: NTA press release, 20 April 2026.
JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.): each subject has 20 MCQs (Section A) and 5 numerical-answer questions (Section B). Both sections give +4 for correct and −1 for wrong. Unanswered gets 0. Maximum is 300 marks. Final merit uses NTA percentile scores, not raw marks.
