Cut-off: 124.11 out of 300
Cut-offs change every year with difficulty and vacancies — treat last year's as a guide, not a promise. Official UPSC notice. Candidates also needed at least 20% marks in each subject. CDS has no category-wise cut-off; marks are given by academy.
Each paper is worth 100 marks, and all questions in a paper carry equal marks. So each question is worth 100 / 120 = 0.8333 marks in English and GK, and 1 mark in Elementary Mathematics. For each wrong answer, one-third of that question's marks is cut. Blank answers get no penalty. Question counts come from the official CDS (II) 2026 test booklets. OTA candidates take only English and GK (200 marks).
