NSM expands India's supercomputing network

The National Supercomputing Mission, launched in 2015, now has 40 supercomputers delivering 68 petaflops as of September 2026. It supports high-performance computing for weather, climate, health and disaster applications.

First post-independence international cargo voyage from Dibrugarh

Union Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will flag off the first international cargo voyage from Dibrugarh to Pangaon Port, Dhaka, on 5 October 2026. The cargo will carry methanol produced by Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited via National Waterway-2 and the Indo-Bangladesh Protocol Route.

AP gets 3 lakh houses under PMAY-G 2.0

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan handed over the first instalment of 3 lakh houses worth ₹3,600 crore to Andhra Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin 2.0. He also laid the foundation for a 177-house pilot project using 3D concrete printing at a cost of ₹14 crore.
